"البناء المستدام": نمو شراكات "تقييم الاستدامة" بنسبة 200% خلال 2022

The Sustainable Building Program recorded remarkable growth in the number of sustainability assessment service partnerships during 2022, by about 200% compared to last year, with the number of issued partnerships reaching 9 partnerships with an area exceeding 19 million m2, ranging between neighborhood communities and residential and commercial buildings.

The program explained in a press statement today that the "Sustainability Assessment" service measures the sustainability of buildings by achieving sustainability requirements, improving the quality of life inside buildings, reducing the damage of construction waste to the environment, raising operational efficiency and reducing emissions. It also raises the efficiency of energy and water consumption, improves building management and operation, improves the quality of indoor living, reduces environmental pollution, and recycles household waste. The "Sustainability" certificate can be obtained after adhering to environmental standards according to global specifications and standards, within the framework of promoting the sustainability of the real estate market and raising its efficiency in accordance with the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 .

“Mustadam” offers a building quality inspection service targeting the beneficiary who is about to build, whether an individual or a real estate developer. The service allows the beneficiary to verify the quality and safety of the building operations through an inspection mechanism by certified inspection engineers, where the residential unit obtains a building quality certificate after its construction is completed and it has successfully passed the inspection stages.

The program also offers a prefabricated building inspection service that enables the beneficiary who wishes to buy or rent a property to verify its quality and safety, through a visual inspection mechanism by certified engineers to detect apparent defects in prefabricated buildings. Based on this inspection, a report is issued on the condition of the residential unit. In addition, there is a quality inspection service for contractors’ compliance with classification, which provides reports on the extent of the contractor’s compliance with quality and safety standards and the preservation of the urban landscape, and contributes to classifying contractors to obtain quality projects. The report includes verification of safety requirements, site protection, environmental safety, and occupational health .

It is worth mentioning that the sustainability assessment service enables property owners and developers to measure the sustainability of a building by following environmental standards that increase building efficiency, improve quality of life, and reduce operating costs and the environmental damage caused by construction waste and materials. The service can be requested through the Sustainable Building Program's electronic portal at the following link : https://mostadam.sa/ .
