Al-Hogail chairs a meeting at Jeddah Municipality headquarters to follow up on the progress of work in development projects, and visits the Control and Monitoring Center

His Excellency, Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, visited the headquarters of Jeddah Municipality today to monitor the progress of ongoing development projects in the governorate. The meeting was attended by His Excellency, Secretary Mr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Turki, along with several ministry and municipality officials.

The meeting discussed the level of achievement in projects related to addressing visual distortions in Jeddah, as well as the comprehensive plan for rainwater and flood drainage projects in the governorate. It also covered projects for road paving, street lighting, and public gardens. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the prominent achievements, targets, and investment opportunities in the governorate, which contribute to improving the quality of life and developing public facilities.

Mr. Al-Hogail visited the Control and Monitoring Center in Jeddah Municipality, where he was briefed on the key services provided by the center. These services include the cleanliness system, Automatic vehicle location systems (AVL), cleanliness monitoring system, decision support system, and intelligent landfill system.

He was also briefed on road systems, such as Pavement Maintenance Management System (PMMS), pavement marking system, and excavation licensing system. Furthermore, he learned about the digital surveillance system, electronic systems, and applications launched by Jeddah Municipality, such as the geographic registration system for plans, geospatial portal, digital services application, and detailed transportation model.

The Control and Monitoring Center in Jeddah governorate aims to integrate all activated electronic systems with the 940 reporting systems to achieve the highest levels of control and management of various reports and violations. This will ensure harmony in the regulatory system across the governorate.
