Today, His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing conducted a field visit to the Holy Capital Municipality and the Holy Sites to review the municipality’s preparations and readiness for the Hajj season, to inspect the work sites and check their readiness, and to meet with the municipality’s leaders in preparation for the Hajj season of 1447 AH (2026 AD), as part of the continuous field follow-up to raise the efficiency of services and speed of completion, and to embody the interest of the wise leadership - may God support it - in serving the guests of God as a national priority.
His Excellency began the visit with an inspection tour of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road, during which he reviewed the executive program for developing the axes, addressing visual distortions, and improving the urban landscape.
Following that, His Excellency the Minister inaugurated the Holy Capital Municipality building in the Al-Kaakiyah neighborhood, and witnessed a visual presentation and a tour of the building, which contributes to improving the work environment and raising the efficiency of performance.
His Excellency continued his field tour in the holy sites, where he visited the municipal volunteer work camp within the initiatives of the Developmental Housing Agency in Mina, and inspected the machinery and equipment in the Jamarat Square. The tour also included the underground warehouses in Mina.
During his meeting with the Mayor of the Holy City of Mecca, Mr. Musaed Al-Dawood, and officials of the Secretariat, His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing stressed the importance of integration between government agencies as a key element in the success of the Hajj season, praising the proactive approach adopted by the Secretariat to ensure the sustainability and quality of services.
His Excellency concluded his visit with a meeting of the Steering Committee for the Development of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road in the Makkah Region, before heading later to attend a meeting of the Supreme Hajj Committee to discuss the final preparations for the upcoming Hajj season.
