The Board of Trustees of the Ikram Al-Mawta Charitable Foundation held its fifth meeting this evening, Thursday, chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqil, and attended by His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Engineer Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, and Their Excellencies and Highnesses, members of the Board.
The meeting began by reviewing the previous minutes and following up on the work of the General Secretariat and the committees. A detailed report was reviewed on the work of the institution during the past period, and it addressed the topics included in the agenda, the activities and programs of the institution, a number of completed projects and initiatives, the percentage of completion of current projects, and the positive results for the institution and the sector as a whole.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, also launched the official website of the Foundationwww.ikraam.org.sa, in addition to launching the Foundation’s social media sites@FHTD_SA.
The meeting witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Al-Ahsa Municipality to establish the central cemetery in Al-Mubarraz city. A memorandum of understanding was also signed with Al-Manara Advanced Company, which aims to cooperate in implementing programs and events, providing consultations and exchanging experiences. The institution was represented during the signing by the Secretary-General, Engineer Abdul Aziz bin Ibrahim Al-Nughaither, while the Al-Ahsa Municipality was represented by the Secretary, Engineer Essam bin Abdul Latif Al-Mulla, and Al-Manara Advanced Company was represented by the CEO, Ayman bin Ibrahim Al-Mazrou.
His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of “Ikram” expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Suleiman Al-Afaleq for his generous donation of 20 million riyals to implement the project to establish the central cemetery west of Al-Mubarraz city, which confirms his constant interest in giving and spending in ways of good.
These agreements come within the framework of “Ikram’s” cooperation with its partners in the governmental, private and non-profit sectors, by promoting the participation of community members in supporting the programs of the Ikram Al-Mawta Charitable Foundation, and in fulfillment of what the 2030 vision stipulated in creating the necessary environment for the non-profit sector to take the initiative in facing challenges and seizing opportunities.
