His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, today inaugurated the activities of the Restatex Riyadh Real Estate Exhibition 2026 in its thirty-fifth edition, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, with wide participation from government agencies, major real estate development companies, investors and financing entities.

During his opening speech, His Excellency affirmed that Restatex has become, over the course of 35 years, a major platform reflecting the development of the real estate sector in the Kingdom, noting that its continuity and growth reflect the strength of the market, the confidence of investors, and its ability to adapt to changes and keep pace with development goals.

He explained that the real estate sector is witnessing a new qualitative phase measured by the quality of planning, the speed of completion, and the clarity of roles between regulatory bodies, developers, and investors, stressing that regulations and legislation have become a major enabler of growth, and that the partnership between the public and private sectors represents the basis of sustainable development.

He explained that the municipalities and housing system has worked during the past years to create a supportive regulatory environment that contributes to raising the efficiency of real estate development, enabling initiatives that add real value to people and places, and turning aspirations into realistic projects.

He stressed that real estate development in 2026 is more closely linked to quality of life and sustainability, in light of the trend towards green buildings, smart cities, parks and access to services, indicating that the exhibition is not limited to displaying residential projects, but rather represents an integrated platform to showcase sustainable urban models that support economic growth, preserve resources and enhance quality of life.

In the context of supporting the investor journey, he pointed to the development of the “Itmam” Developers Services Center to provide 38 integrated digital services through clear and unified pathways, which shortens procedures, raises business efficiency and enhances the attractiveness of investment in the real estate sector.

His Excellency noted the support that the sector receives from the wise leadership – may God protect them – in creating an enabling environment and enhancing the urban development process, stressing that the current stage represents an opportunity to promote innovation, empower national competencies, and build more prosperous cities and a better quality of life for Saudi families.

It is worth noting that the 35th edition of Restatex Riyadh Real Estate Exhibition 2026 will be held from February 11 to 14, 2026, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, where the exhibition will witness the launch of the first edition of the PropNext Forum. It is held as a specialized dialogue platform that discusses, through its sessions, topics related to real estate legislation, financing tools, investment attractiveness, and real estate development trends.
