During his visit to the Eastern Province, His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, met today with His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, where His Highness inaugurated a package of municipal, housing and investment projects worth more than 2 billion riyals, in addition to honoring the donors of the Jood Housing Campaign “Your Jood Has Arrived”, and handing over a number of housing units to beneficiaries, in a step that reflects the integration of efforts to promote development and achieve housing stability.
His Excellency also held a meeting with the leaders of the Eastern Province Municipality, during which he reviewed the latest developments in projects and the work of the municipality, and was briefed on the “City View” platform and its role in supporting digital transformation, raising the efficiency of city management and improving the quality of municipal services.
The visit included a meeting with citizens, during which His Excellency listened to their opinions and suggestions, stressing the importance of strengthening direct communication channels and raising the level of services to meet the aspirations of the residents and enhance the quality of life.
In the context of supporting investment, His Excellency the Minister met with a number of local and international investors, where he discussed municipal and housing investment opportunities, and reviewed the economic assets and competitive advantages that the Eastern Province enjoys, stressing that partnership with the private sector represents a fundamental pillar in developing urban projects and enhancing the attractiveness of cities.
His Excellency conducted a number of field visits, including the operational city, the Khobar Corniche, and the Bayfront Standard Beach Project, during which he reviewed the progress of work, completion rates, and quality of implementation, stressing the importance of developing waterfronts and public facilities according to the highest standards, which contributes to improving the urban landscape and providing quality services to residents and visitors. He concluded his tour with a visit to the International City project in Dammam.
This visit comes within the framework of following up on the implementation of development projects, enhancing integration between entities, and supporting balanced urban development paths, in order to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and consolidate the position of the cities of the Eastern Province as attractive destinations for living and investment.
