Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister visits the Kingdom's pavilion at the World Urban Forum in Baku

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov, visited the Kingdom’s pavilion participating in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) , currently being held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku .

During his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan toured the pavilion, learning about the most prominent Saudi initiatives and projects in the fields of urban development and sustainable housing .

During the visit, he listened to an explanation about the Saudi experience in developing cities and improving the quality of life, in addition to the efforts related to promoting urban sustainability and adopting smart solutions in the municipal and housing sector, within the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 .

He was briefed on the models and projects presented by the pavilion that reflect the urban transformation taking place in the Kingdom, and the development plans aimed at building more sustainable, efficient, and higher quality cities, which enhances the Kingdom’s position as a global model in integrated urban development .

The Kingdom’s pavilion, with the participation of a number of governmental, private and non-profit entities, showcases the most prominent national experiences in the fields of urban planning, urban identity, housing, municipal investment and smart technologies, within the framework of the Kingdom’s participation in the 13th World Urban Forum organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) .
