The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has achieved an institutional milestone by obtaining two ISO certifications in quality management systems and asset management, confirming its commitment to implementing global best practices, enhancing performance efficiency, and improving the quality of municipal and housing services.

The Deputy Minister of Municipalities for Projects and Public Health, Engineer Hassan bin Mureizan Asiri, explained that this achievement is a qualitative step towards consolidating institutional work based on quality and data, which contributes to raising the efficiency of services and the sustainability of assets, and its direct impact is reflected on serving people and improving the quality of life.

He pointed out that the achievement comes within the Ministry’s efforts in institutional transformation based on governance of procedures and data integration, which supports decision-making and raises the efficiency of planning and the quality of outputs.

He explained that the survey work covered more than 166,000 kilometers of the targeted network, while the completion rate of geospatial data exceeded 67%, exceeding the targets, which reflects the efficiency of implementation and the acceleration of completion .

It is worth mentioning that this achievement supports the establishment of a unified national reference for managing road and asset data, and enhances the sustainability of the infrastructure in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
