The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing signed several agreements to improve urban planning services and develop infrastructure in cities, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail.
The signing of the agreements came as part of the Ministry’s participation in the LEAP 23 exhibition and conference at the Digital Government Authority’s pavilion. The Ministry was represented during the signing of the agreements by the Undersecretary for Digital Transformation and Smart Cities, Engineer Musaed Al-Otaibi, while the Saudi Telecom Company(STC)was represented by its CEO, Engineer Alian Al-Wutaid, and the National Water Company was represented by its CEO, Engineer Nimer Al-Shibl. The third agreement was signed with the Ministry of Energy, represented by the Assistant Minister for Electricity Affairs, Engineer Nasser Al-Qahtani, and the Saudi Electricity Company, represented by its CEO, Engineer Khalid Al-Qanoun.
These agreements aim to enhance governance in handling visual pollution reports with relevant authorities, in addition to exchanging experiences between the public and private sectors to contribute to improving city facilities and developing their infrastructure, which will positively impact the urban landscape and raise the quality of life of its residents.
On the other hand, the National Housing Company signed two memoranda of understanding with Al-Buraidi Real Estate Company and the Korean companyZigbangto provide artificial intelligence tools and support emerging technologies through the services provided by the National Housing Company, represented in the signing by the head of the solutions sector at the National Housing Company, Engineer Rayan bin Abdullah Al-Aql.
Through its participation in the LEAP 23 conference, the Ministry seeks to enhance its complementary role with its partners, which contributes to raising the quality of life in Saudi cities.
