As part of its efforts to develop national capabilities and enhance the efficiency of human resources in the sectors it oversees, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Human Resources Development Agency, signed a memorandum of cooperation today with the Al-Othaim Academy for Training Institute. This memorandum aims to develop and qualify Saudi personnel to work in the retail and services sector, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program for empowering human capital. .

The memorandum focuses on building an effective partnership between the two sides in the fields of vocational, technical and administrative training, through the design and implementation of quality training programs that contribute to bridging the skills gaps required in the labor market, and raising the level of efficiency and productivity of workers in various professions related to the municipal and commercial sector. .

The memorandum also includes joint work on developing and adopting specialized training packages in accordance with national training standards, in addition to implementing on-the-job training programs, and providing technical and advisory support to beneficiaries of employment programs in small and medium enterprises, which enhances localization opportunities in the service and commercial sectors. .

The memorandum stipulates cooperation in preparing studies and research related to the localization of jobs in the retail sector, exchanging data and statistics related to job opportunities and training needs, in addition to organizing workshops and awareness courses to develop the skills of Saudi youth and enable them to enter the labor market with high competitive capabilities. .

This memorandum comes as an extension of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing's efforts to build strategic partnerships with national training institutions, with the aim of developing human capital and promoting quality employment in the municipal and service sector, which will positively impact raising the quality of services and improving the work environment, and contribute to achieving sustainable development and quality of life in Saudi cities. .
