The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing launched the second cycle of the"Municipal Performance Excellence Award for 2025"dedicated to municipalities, which promotes positive competition among municipal authorities and improves the quality of services provided in Saudi cities, contributing to improving the quality of life and supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The award aims to encourage municipalities to adopt best practices in city management, raise the efficiency of the municipal sector, and improve the beneficiary experience through more effective and innovative services.
The 2024 edition of the award saw the Qassim Region Municipality win first place and the gold category, while the Riyadh Region Municipality won the silver category, and the Madinah Region Municipality won the bronze category, in addition to honoring the municipalities of the Eastern Region, Hail and the Northern Borders within the excellence tracks.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing confirmed that the award comes within its efforts to consolidate the culture of institutional excellence in the municipal sector, and to motivate secretariats and municipalities to raise the level of services and build more prosperous cities and a higher quality of life.
