Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing visits the Saudi pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Budair, visited the Saudi pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020 and a number of other pavilions of the countries participating in the exhibition, which has been hosted by the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates since October 2021.

The Kingdom’s participation in Expo Dubai 2020 comes under the slogan “An inspiring Saudi vision for a shared future” with the aim of highlighting the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia’s heritage and diverse present, highlighting promising investment opportunities, and showcasing the electronic government services provided to citizens and residents within four main pillars: (People, Nature, Heritage, and Opportunities).

His Excellency was briefed on the sections of the pavilion and its creative interactive elements, and what it showcases of promising investment opportunities in all health, education, housing and other sectors, with the aim of reaching a 70% homeownership rate for Saudi families by 2030, and making 3 Saudi cities part of the index of the most livable cities. His Excellency was received by a delegation of exhibition officials and the Kingdom’s embassy in the United Arab Emirates.

His Excellency also visited the pavilion of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, learning about the innovations, technologies, and diverse economic and development opportunities it presented. He commended the UAE's efforts in hosting and organizing this global event, which facilitated meetings for investors of various nationalities to discuss and explore investment opportunities, and provided an opportunity for all participating countries and investors to meet in one place.

His Excellency the Deputy Minister toured the exhibition to learn about the diverse experiences of the countries. The visit included the pavilions of the Republic of India, Mexico, France, and Peru, where he learned about the exhibits, cultural, civilizational, and social diversity, opportunities for exchanging benefits, and ways to strengthen ties between peoples and build bridges of rapprochement and cooperation between countries.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi pavilion is the second largest pavilion in “Expo 2020 Dubai”, located on an area of more than 13,000 m2, and is designed according to an innovative and sustainable design, and has obtained the Leadership Platinum certificate in energy and environmental design. About 192 countries from around the world are participating in “Expo Dubai 2020”, and the pavilion has attracted the attention of visitors to “Expo 2020 Dubai”, and has achieved the highest rate of visits.
