"Sakani": 6,000 families benefited from "self-build" during the past two months

The number of families benefiting from the subsidized mortgage loan for the self-build option through the “Sakani” program exceeded 6,000 families in all cities and regions of the Kingdom, during the past two months of January and February, within more than 31,000 families that “Sakani” announced as benefiting, while the number of families who moved into their homes reached 35,000 families.

The “self-build” option comes as an extension of “Sakani’s” efforts to diversify housing options and sustainable financing solutions that it provides in partnership with the private sector to facilitate homeownership for Saudi families with immediate eligibility and easy and convenient procedures according to their desires and needs through its website and application for smart devices, with the aim of increasing the rate of homeownership to 70% by the year 2030, in fulfillment of the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 -.

To obtain the subsidized loan for self-build, the citizen must be eligible for housing support, own residential land, have a valid building permit, have a stable income that enables him to obtain the subsidized loan, and not have received previous housing support. The Sakani program provides various services to beneficiaries of the “self-build” option, enabling them to choose executive “engineering designs” that are characterized by their reasonable prices and high quality, in partnership with a number of national engineering offices to provide a number of modern engineering designs that comply with the Saudi Building Code, in addition to the “approved contractor” service to facilitate the implementation of engineering designs for beneficiaries of “self-build” and “interior design”.
