The Ministry of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing emphasized the necessity of issuing a permit for slaughtering sacrificial animals for restaurants and kitchens wishing to provide the service for performing slaughtering and butchering during the blessed Eid al-Adha period. This is part of their efforts to improve the quality of services in the sector, increase customer satisfaction, and meet the needs of the Eid al-Adha season in 1445 H.
This service allows owners of commercial establishments with a valid business license for restaurants and kitchens to obtain a permit for slaughtering sacrificial animals through Balady platform until the fifth day of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, subject to specific conditions. This permit enables them to provide slaughtering and butchering services for sacrificial animals during the blessed Eid al-Adha.
The Ministry clarified that issuing the permit is free of charge and subject to several specific conditions that must be met by the facility. These conditions include having a valid activity license, maintaining cleanliness in the slaughtering area, providing slaughtering and butchering equipment, ensuring the availability of clean water for use, organizing the slaughtering process, preventing overcrowding of animals in the restaurant, displaying a prominent sign indicating the service prices, having valid health certificates for all workers, contracting with a veterinarian to examine the animals before and after the slaughtering process, and the necessity of contracting with an accredited waste removal company to ensure the safe disposal of waste from the slaughtering and butchering area, ensuring environmental safety.
