As part of the Kingdom’s participation in the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan, His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, launched the Executive Master of Cities(MCA) program in partnership with King Saud University, in line with the Kingdom’s direction towards building an advanced leadership system for city management and enhancing the efficiency of urban leaders.
His Excellency explained that the program comes within the framework of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing’s efforts to develop national competencies and raise the readiness of urban leaders, in line with global transformations in urban planning and management, and contributes to building higher quality, more sustainable and human-centered cities.
The Master of Executive Management of Cities(MCA) program is a global educational standard that combines academic depth and executive experience, and aims to qualify leaders capable of managing urban challenges and creating innovative solutions, through scientific and applied content that promotes integration between planning, development and implementation aspects.
The launch of the program comes as part of the Kingdom’s participation in the 13th World Urban Forum, through which it will showcase the most prominent national experiences and initiatives in urban development and sustainable housing, and promote international partnerships and exchange experiences in developing the future of cities.
