The rental index covers 160 cities and governorates, with March recording the highest number of transactions.

The rental index recorded more than 257,000 rental transactions during the past month of March, in more than 160 cities and governorates that were recently added to the rental index, to include all cities and regions of the Kingdom, within the reports and data issued by the electronic network for rental services Ejar in integration with the Sakani platform ; thus making March the month with the highest number of rental transactions recorded since the launch of the index .

Beneficiaries of the real estate rental sector can now view the results of the rental behavior assessment of real estate brokers on the list of real estate brokers, and clarify the number of assessors for the real estate broker, at the level of cities and neighborhoods in the rental index, as the assessment of the rental behavior of the real estate broker in the current stage depends on the extent of the landlord’s satisfaction with the performance and responsiveness of the real estate broker during the documentation of the contract, and the tenant’s evaluation of his experience with the real estate broker during the rental contract and his clarification of the terms and conditions .

The rental index report for March 2023 recorded residential rental transactions for units (apartments, floors, villas) that exceeded 202,000 transactions, while commercial rental transactions for commercial units (shops, commercial showrooms, offices) recorded more than 54,000 transactions .

The rental index aims to achieve transparency and stimulate investment in the Kingdom's rental real estate sector by setting specific rental indices for cities, neighborhoods, and different types of real estate, both residential and commercial. It allows users to identify price ranges for residential units, search for neighborhoods with residential units within a price range specified by the user, review the number of rental transactions for residential and commercial units in a given neighborhood during a specified period, and view the average rental values. It also clarifies the price range for residential transactions and presents them in a graph. This is all within the framework of supporting beneficiaries and contributing to raising market efficiency in line with the objectives of the Housing Program – one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
